We're wrapping an incredible first year of The Training Ground and are so proud of all we’ve accomplished: over 160 days of classes, a dozen dedicated faculty members, and 41 dynamic visiting artists bringing their expertise from the Bay and far beyond. The growth we’ve witnessed in our inaugural cohort of students is invigorating.
Our first year — a pilot year of sorts — was also a year of learning. Rebuilding this program independently from its predecessor comes with real challenges, but we’re committed to carrying the spirit of it forward.

Maintaining fair compensation for artists and faculty
Supporting scholarships to keep the program accessible
Reaching the next generation of dancers through recruitment and outreach
Building the operational infrastructure that makes everything else possible
ttgsf remains committed to being a hub for high-caliber dance training in San Francisco. This program was founded in response to this community, and we continue to turn to it for help in holding our ground.
